Do not grow slack in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in tribulation, steadfast in prayer. Contribute to the needs of the holy ones, exercise hospitality. ~ Romans 12:11-13

Cars and Mechanics, Kids and Doctors

Since March 15th we have had our car and our van in the repair shop more times than I can remember. ("Beware the Ides of March"~ if you believe that stuff ~ I personally do not!) The problems range from replacing tires, to brakes, to radiators, to mirrors, to vehicle computers, and much much more!! The vehicles are taking turns heading down the road with our wonderfully helpful mechanic, Jay.
Jay has been a true blessing to us! He knows we are unable to drop off our 15 passenger van without the need of a babysitter. After all 11 people can't all pile into our little '93 Corsica to come home!! So with that in mind Jay kindly offered to pick up our van. He'd leave his car at our house, drive our van to work, fix it, drive it to back to our house, give us the repair bill, and drive his car back home. Now he's even been picking up our car for its repairs, too!! He's is a blessing to our current vehicle problems.
We hope the car bills will soon stop but we feel blessed to have a friend in the drivers set!!
And thanks Jay! Hope you like the brownies!!

If we aren't paying car bills, it's doctor bills! In that same time period since March 15th I've made trips or calls to the doctor for Caleb's birth, urinary track infections, hand, foot and mouth diseases, odd fevers, Lyme disease and more. I'm not one to jump at the first sign of a problem, but the trips or calls to the doctor are becoming more and more frequent. So far things have been simple problems which were easy to fix, or they may just be check-ups.
I must admit that the vehicles have been to the shop more than I've had trips to the doctor, so that's a blessing! Better to have problems with the cars than the kids!! We have some very good doctors and our family doctor is a wonderful lady with a very kind heart, she always helps us in whatever way she can. Thanks to our wonderful doctors and nurses!!

Our lives have been littered with bills, but our God is helping us pay them all!
Thanks be to God!

Oh, and here's a funny thought....I was at the doctor's office when our car problems stared!!
Wow that's odd!
