The Senators Game

I was excited to see my first "in-person" baseball game this year! But this post is about my second "in-person" baseball game! Although, it was our youngest 4 kids first game!!! And what a treat it was for them!

We went to a Senators game on City Island in Harrisburg, PA.  Sadly, our two oldest boys were camping with my mom and dad and missed this game, but they did get to go to a game earlier in the summer.
We still had a fun time. It was a free game for us since we were blessed with these tickets through a company that Jon's company deals with. Plus we got a free meal! How nice is that!
To top it all off, Hannah, Abby, Naomi and Caleb were picked to help with one of those little fun games between the innings! So they got to go onto the field!

The kids each got a mask and they had to make their animal sound as loud as they could to win.
My little girls were out-voiced by the boys!!  Caleb wouldn't go out on the field when the time came.

But we got to sit in one of those boxed seats next to the dug-outs until the kids went on the field. There were caution signs everywhere about watching for stray balls.
I almost got a ball to the head as I took this picture!!!

It was all fun till the mayflies came out then the "snowfall" of dead bugs was just kind of yucky!!
(Keep in mind the ball field is on an island and bugs LOVE lights!!)

So we decided to take a walk around the island in the dark. It was so nice!

Although, I still don't know if the Senators won!
Well, it was fun, no matter who won!
